Hot damn! Who says that there aren’t enough women in IT? 

Well, I do, but only after having seen this bevy of coding cuties.

The IT Screen Goddesses Calendar 2006-2007 is coming soon and features photos of real women working in the IT industry dolled up in the garb of various film beauties – with varying degrees of success. 

Jane, for example, could find herself on the end of a few emails from me for both her photo – Princess Leia on Jabba the Hutt's barge, and her bio, which suggests that she might be able to help me create a new software interface. Ding dong! 

The calendar is supposed to raise money and awareness for a few things to do with getting more ladies into IT. And, it might just do that. .

It is this time of the year that a young man’s focus switches from the exciting, cut throat, white knuckle ride world of IT to something a lot more relaxing… Like a holiday.

Like those young firebrands, I have also been looking at booking a holiday online and have been amazed by the kind of value-add services that most of the sites advertise. I was probably most impressed by this site’s offer – even though it is not quite the sort of relaxing trip I had in mind. 

I don’t really think that the site can supply travellers with ‘ho’s, no matter how much they cost, but it just shows web designers something to remember. If you are going to write text to fit in a box, you should at least make sure that it does all fit in the box.

I'm honestly not that upset, but I am surprised. This is the first time I have been turned away from a store because it was too busy.

Still, atleast Debenhams is busy working on a new store. Hopefully this time it will have wider doors.
