To post or not to post
It is exactly one month and one day since
my last post to my blog.
This lack of updatery has nothing to do
with sheer wanton laziness but is part of an experiment to see whether the old ‘less
is more’ saying applies to blogs.
Well, it doesn’t. Less is less. So from now
on loyal readers, yes I mean you Mrs Dowager from upstairs, I’ll be posting a
lot more often. So. Er.. hey. What about those amusing scam emails eh? Or this
Flash based game that features monkeys doing.. er. something.. Ah. Sod it.
According to personalised dinner table setting
nightmare Eric Kintz, Vice President of Global Marketing Strategy and
Excellence at Hewlett-Packard, “daily posts are a legacy of a Web 1.0 mindset
and early Web 2.0 days (meaning 12 months ago!). The pressure around posting
frequency will ultimately become a significant barrier to the maturity of
blogging.”
Eric says lots of other things to excuse a lack of posting as well, so from now on, he is my favourite poster. I’ll make sure to read his blog with irregular regularity.
